He was awarded the Ritterkreuz on 15/11/1941 whilst in commanded of the 131 ID

The one with Generelleutant Div Kdr On it, As Mentioned he rose in Rank to General der Artillerie by wars end.

The EKII looks a little suspect as a whole, but having said that, it can be hard to determine these days.
The one thing that does interest me is the eagle stamp to the rear of the medal packet. There is no continuing line across the flap, pre allocation. A best guess would offer a later stamp added by someone else, if original packet at all.
Any chance of a closeup of the maker name on the envelope.
