    Hello,
One of my favorite makers of Luftwaffe awards are by Assmann & Son. I love how heavy and bulky they are with huge swirled cupcake rivets. These are hefty badges, and I guess in a fight you could even throw one at your opponent.

Does anyone else have any Assmann Luftwaffe flight badges?

    Regards,
    Jody

That ROAG is a looker, for sure! Nice pair!
(I still like the GWL's better, though! A very under-appreciated maker. Although..if, as you say, if someone wanted to throw either one of these at me in a fight sometime, I would likely allow them to! lol)

    Hi William,
Thanks. I like GWL badges, but I do not like their hinges and catches. To be honest, there are many great makers of Luftwaffe awards and I just got drawn to Assmann pieces.

Hi Jody ,those are both fine looking awards, as you say , the Assmann awards are particularly well made. I guess if the flight crew removed all their awards before take off ,the weight reduction would mean that they could carry an extra bomb or two! Leon.
