    IT HAS SOME YEARS BEHIND, I MADE GREAT A RESEARCH THAT ME WAS TRABALHASO, RELATED THE CAMPAIGN SHIELDS, MAINLY PQ AT THE TIME ACQUIRED TWO SHIELDS, COMMITTING THE FIRST IDIOTÍCIE OF BUYING AND LATER ANALYZING. FORTUNATELY BOTH WERE GOOD, BUT I PASSED VERY NERVOUS UNTIL OBTAINING AN AUTHENTICATION. A COLLECTOR FOCADO IN SHIELDS CERTAIN TIME SAID IN ONE OF ITS TOPICS IN AN AMERICAN SITE: " TO KNOW a CAMPAIGN SHIELD, ONLY SEEING MANY PHOTOS OF SHIELD TO CREATE the SENSIBILIDADES NECESSÁRIAS". I AGREE FULLY TO IT. A GREAT PROBLEM OF THE AMERICAN COLLECTORS AND SOME BRAZILIANS, IS SIMPLY TO JUDGE A PART, SAYING SIMPLY THAT IT IS NOT GOOD OR HE IS ORIGINAL AND READY. THEY DO NOT GIVE TO ANY JUSTIFICATION OR EXPLANATION FOR ITS DECISION. I PERSONALLY DOUBT JUDGMENTS WITHOUT JUSTIFICATION AND QUESTION THE AGREEMENT OF THESE. AT LEAST THE FACE IF FINDS THE SPECIALIST (IT CAN UNTIL BEING), BUT DOES NOT WANT TO DIVULGE ITS KNOWLEDGE IN THE WAY, WHAT SHE IS CHARACTERISTIC OF SOME COLLECTORS OF OUR WAY. AS I BELIEVE THAT OUR WAY ALONE GROWS IN KNOWLEDGE AND PLACES THE FAKES FOR ESCANTEIO WITH THE UNCONDITIONAL SPREADING OF THE KNOWLEDGE, HERE MY CONTRIBUTION SINGELA HOW MUCH TO THE NARVIK SHIELDS GOES. MAINLY PQ IN BRAZIL EXIST FEW OF THESE PARTS AND HARDLY WE HAVE THE CHANCE TO SEE 2 OR 3 IN HANDS TO CREATE THE NECESSARY EXPERIENCE. CURRENTLY, THE MORE EXPENSIVE SHIELD SCARCEST AND IN THE MARKET IS THE CHOLM. ITS VALUE CAN EXCEED 1.200EUR. THE PROBLEM IS THAT ALSO IT IS COUNTERFEITED AND TO FIND AN ORIGINAL IS ARDUOUS TASK. ACCORDING TO A RESEARCH CARRIED THROUGH IN THE WA RECENTLY, IT ENTERS THE PARTICIPANTS OF THE FORUM, THE NARVIK SHIELD IS COVETED AMONGST THIS CLASSROOM OF DECORATIONS. IN MY OPINION WITHOUT DOUBTS IT IS MOST SIGNIFICANT AND HISTORICALLY INTERESTING. LATER THAT I STARTED TO SEARCH, I CONFESS THAT I SWEATED COLD, THEREFORE ALSO IS A SHIELD VERY, BUT VERY COUNTERFEITED. HOWEVER, AFTER SEEING ONE 60 PHOTOS, VI THAT ITS IDENTIFICATION AS ORIGINAL ARE NOT OF MOST DIFFICULT. THE POINTS THAT I PRESENT, SEEM BASIC AND FEW, BUT I NEEDED 3 WEEKS TO READ ABOUT 300 ARTICLES CLOSING IN THESE TOPICS. CLEARLY THAT THEY ARE NOT DECISIVOS AND IN SOME CASES THE EXPERIENCE OF A EXPERT IS NECESSARY, BUT THEY ARE O ENOUGH TO BAR ABOUT 95% OF THE FAKES.

    Fakes and Criteria of Originalidade Fakes of the Shield of the Campaign of Narvik more appear each time in the market, a time that its valuation comes growing to each year. It is very difficult to classify with certainty the originalidade of a part, therefore about 3 or 4 manufacturers they had produced these shields. Each one produced a shield with small different characteristics, but without losing the general aspect. These characteristics are small details in determined points of the shields. The following raised points below must be analyzed in a shield. In case that the shield presents all these item, probably the part is false. In case that they are raised one or another item, this by itself is not reason to undeserve and to judge the part, being valid the experience and tinin of the collector. - To look at typical of the eagle not verified; - Both the tips of the wings of the eagle touch in the last step; - Claws of the typical foot of the eagle; - Typical number " 1" ; - Number " 4" minor who " 0" ; - The leg of " 9" she is small. The item in boldface are most important to be verified. So that the pointed item make direction, to see the list of photos presented in the topic. " 4" minor is a determinative fact for a fake. This is exactly the detail most important to be observed in one determined line of fakes, is what it is called fake of small " 4". " 4" it is visibly lesser that the too much numbers. The leg of " 9" minor, by itself, cannot be considered a determinative factor, but associated to other characteristics she can lead to a fake.

    The counterfeited zinc shields, generally bring longitudinal, decurrent estrias of the current processes of fake. It sees below in the example, that some longitudinal risks in this false shield exist.

    This is with certainty the fake coarsest of these shields.

    Some original shields, that are not tied have only a manufacturer, are the inferior leg right suástica de a Cruz. It does not present the extremity straight line, and yes relatively angular. The suástica cannot, in hypothesis some, to be excessively lesser that the oak leaf wreath. It must be joust with the diameter of this.

    Through the comment of determined details, 3 manufacturers can be identified: - Juncker (I pessoamente do not obtain to identify this manufacturer);
    Wilhelm Deumer (she is the manufacturer of my shield - easy of if identifying); - Deschler (it is most difficult of if finding).

    They is esteem that 1 or 2 exists more manufacturers of these shields, but who is not known is. Remembering that the number of these shields extremely is reduced, in function of for who if they destined.

    Shields of Narvik without Deep of Fabric I came across myself behind has some time with some interesting photos of shields of Campaign. In the case they were shields of Narvik. Most interesting it is that in the time photos, it can be seen clearly that the shields are fixed in the arm without the deep one of fabric. That is, nor always the lack of a deep one of fabric can be signal of a canibalismo of the time…

    First time that I see a SS and of the Leibstandarte. the H. with a Narvik…

    E finally, respectable General Eduard Dietl and the Generalmajor Hermann Hölter Head of the 20 Staff of Gebirgs Armee to its left. Beauty edelweiss…

    It must be an entire regiment of the 3. Gebirgs Division… They notice the shields in the sleeve of the left arm of some men.

    Excellent topic of reference For all the interested parties in collecting would militate German. Until where I remember myself did not exist any contingent of the involved Waffen-SS in the invasion of the Norway. However, the garotão there of the photo can acompenhando the troops as corresponding of war (seems that it insurance a microphone) or same to have fought in that region as member of the Luftwaffe or the Army, being transferred to the SS later. But since you in such a way like it Shield Narvik (for me, prettiest of all), here they are some photos for you if to amuse:

    1) A Obergefreiter of the páraquedistas with its Narvikschild, Badge de Páraquedista, Badge de Ferido in Black color and Cross of Iron of 2ª Classroom. What he seems it also does not possess the fabric base in its shield.

    2) My preferring: a Oberfeldwebel that acted as pilot of comment in the Luftwaffe. It has a version in fabric of its Badge de Observador, Cross of Iron of 1ª Classroom, Clasp de Vôo in Bronze (or Gold) and " ribbon bar" with the Cross of Iron of 2ª Classroom, Medal of 4 Years of Service and Annexation of the Sudetos.

    3) This is for who really loves the Shield of Narvik, therefore to " deals with one; overdose"! Members of a battalion of Gebirgsjäger talk with General Eduard Dietl. The Obergefreiter notices that talks with Dietl parace not to have any fabric base in its Shield.

    The shield of Narvik was drawn by the Professor Klein, of Munique, and was instituted in 19.08.1940. The allies had finished if removing in 09.06.1940 in reason it to uncurl of the campaign of France (that he had started in 10 of May of 1940). Particularly violent combats in land had occurred and strike naval for the control of the port, with the German garrison being led distinguish to it of its resistance before the allied withdrawal. The anchor and the helix are crossed and the Edelweiss is enters both in the superior part, while in the inferior part it is date “1940”.

    The amount of Shields of Narvik you deliver is:
