He had the gold, but not the "50." I wanted to by two other medals, so I skipped the gold for now. Hopefully find one in a box in just as nice condition.

Very nice cross, Adrian. I was not even looking for one of these, but I saw it in his case and was struck by the shine. It lured me in and I caved, had to get it. Glad I did

Although a common medal, if you find one in good condition such as yours, they can rank up there with the best IMO.
