    I believe this badge to be a fake. It bears little or no resemblance to this known original shown here top, but is almost identical barring the hinge and catch to the two fake badges below that. It should be borne in mind that this is an extremely rare badge, and hence copied in variations of rear set up, widely. The difference in quality and design appears vast.

    Charlie Snyder is a dealer and I believe is an author but I wouldn't give his opinion a second glance......

    The Lufthansa piece is an enameled unmarked Junkers. Very rare piece.

    Not Lufthansa. These are the wings worn by civilian pilots employed by the Luftwaffe.
