Opinion on this items please.

Article about: can someone give me some info about the ss tab I look on the internet and saw alot of them just like the ones that was sent to me . What would be the best way to tell good or bad. Chris

    I just received them from a friend in Europe I think they are all junk but i could be wrong.

    I am not an insignia guy, but judging from the other bits that I have studied, I wouldn't feel comfortable calling these original.

    The Lappland shield is, I am pretty sure, a very poor fake.

    Both the patch and button are fakes.

    Post the SS items in that forum to be sure on those. I thought the Lappland Schild was controversial at best or field made and awarded. The chances of a cloth version being produced are very remote so I would say it's a fake.

    Looking for LDO marked EK2s and items relating to U-406.....

    Any "original" Lappland shields were mostly made in POW camps out of whatever was at hand. The most accepted "original" is known as the "Soapdish" type. I believe they were from the middle of Norway area. The one shown is a fake or a "57er" version. Docs were officially awarded,but not the shields. Stewy

    You say it could be a 57 did they do patches ?

    I'm not totally sure,i'll have to do some checking. If they did it's a first for me. I'm not into "57" stuff,so i was unsure. Stewy
