Opinion on kuban shield please

I obtained this kuban shield recentley

I know very little about third Reich badges ect as i only collect British items so opinions appreciated please .

I'm guessing the base material is zinc ? Looks like a good original Wurster Kuban, and a Kriegsmarine one to boot. Very nice.

Wurster KM Kuban for comparison. They used a VERY dark blue, easy to confuse with black.

It is none magnetic , the four pins are magnectic

Original Kubans will normally be in ferrous metal (magnetic) but Wurster is the only maker so far known to have made the Kuban in Zinc. Looks like you have a good, and very desirable Kriegsmarine Kuban.

Looks like a Wurster to me also, but im having not much Experience with these!

As Redcap said Karl Wurster is the only known Kuban Shield Producer that made these from Zinc.
