As said, it is for the 'KVK' - 'Kriegs Verdienst Kreuz' - War Merit Cross, 2nd Class.
It is in unissued condition, and has never put on a medal...............

See thats the problem, allll these items were just thrown and stacked in the box from the 50's and I am triying to make heads and or tails of the items...the ribbon looks new and not used, so the Vet might have just found-it that way, or it might belong to the one you speak of.
