Just received this one to add to my Ostmedaillen. I have a number of marked examples now. Probably ought to take a picture of the lot of them.

Thanks, Eric. I like these icons of history. I can only imagine on the coldest day of the year just how miserable it was on the Ostfront in the winter. Makes me shiver. And be glad I live when and where I do.

Thank you, gentlemen. Yes, it appears to be zinc, and all the silver has been absorbed, but the details are still sharp.

Excellent shot of a not often seen makers mark Roger, thank you for posting it. I don't think there are very many - if any shots of this makers mark on the forum.
