Ostmedaille - 19 or 79??

This one was sold to me as a '19', but it looks to me like a '79'.
Opinions, please?

Thanks, Nick. I don't think that list covers all the makers, as I have several that aren't on the list. I have in hand the following:
3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10, 11, 13, 15, 18, 19? or 79?, 20, 25, 29, 60, 65, 76, 80, 88, 90, 93, 98, 100, 107, 109, 110, 116, 127, 133
I have seen a picture of a '1' but have not been able to obtain one of those yet.
As many as they had to make, I believe they were working overtime to pump them out.

It's a '19'. I have never seen, heard of or found any awards by maker '79'.

As a small challenge, can anyone?

I haven't heard of a '79', but keep in mind that the German '1' very often looks like a '7'. They just tend to make the hook at the top much longer than Americans do. With German militaria, especially markings on awards, documents, dates, etc. you might find this.

Nice medal mate, it is a stamping error it does look like a seven i will give you that, but nick has covered.
