    A question for you Dave, what do you mean by 'early'? These were all handed out around the same time. correct? AFAIK there is no differences in materials or manufacture.

    These medals were issued from 1942 to 45 and I have never seen any differences to denote early and late styles.

    Looks like a 65 (K&Q) to me. An early buntmetal one,i think you can see it peeking through on the helmet. Stewy
