Hi Chuck,
The Panzerkampf Abzeichen you show is very similar to the one below, a genuine flat back by an unknown maker. But these are heavily faked and I think the one you show maybe one of these. The definition is very soft on yours and the back appears to have been coarsely ground down to me, the set up is slightly different but there were variations so I won't push that.
But this is just my opinion, I'm sure other more experienced guy's will have more to say on the matter of authenticity.

Both are "Flatbacks" IMO. The one Ned shows is a "Dented Flatback". Stewy
