I remember reading somewhere Glenn. a thing to look for is two rows of silver threads showing above and below the tank. This may have been bad information but perhaps can be something to look into.

In addition to the rows of threads above and below, the back should have 3 prongs. I don't think this one is a good one.

See post #8 in this thread for a good example: http://www.warrelics.eu/forum/orders...silber-171468/

Thank you for your input, friends...It is my understanding that there are slight variations between makers, and that both 2 and 3 prong versions were produced...
    Always looking to learn!
    cheers, Glenn

Too true about variations! One of the things that keeps us on our toes. Looking at the weave on the back of the ribbon I still don't like it, though. I am with you about learning. I don't ever want to stop learning. In fact, the more I learn I find the less I know.

There are different makers of this "TDBīs".The only known maker still is Moritz Hausch from Pforzheim. The others are unknown variants.
I think it is right, that the badge shoult have three prongs.I donīt like the soft details at the tank. Also the design details are wrong imo.

The woven of the ribbon looks also wrong and the backplate looks chemical oldered.I agree with the others that it is a fake.
