Thumbs down for me. Not a Type 1, Type 2 or Type 3. Really weak details on the track and road wheels for starters. Also don't like the slope of the upper hull. It should be horizontal to the track. And never seen such a large backing cloth on these awards.

Doesn't help that the one good photo was not taken straight on either.

I'm still looking through my "references" however (see link below LoL). Trying to find a match as they also show fakes. In looking through, I think this is similar to what is called Fake #3 in the thread below (page 17).

In the meantime, while mine is a Type 1 (yes it is Silver but that doesn't make a difference), just look at the difference in details. Also, while I can't enlarge your photos well enough, from what I can see, I do not like the quality of the gold cloth (compare to mine here again)

I'm not an expert. Just an average collector who uses the tools available to formulate my less than perfect opinions. Always seek multiple feedback if possible.

No expert here as well and have been stung in the past on one-about 22 years ago. But another area to look at is the tanks barrel. If it looks more like a needle? no good and run as fast as possible. The fake I got, I traded a box of unopened roped Star Wars figures I got (made in the mid or so 90s) at a garage sale-for next to nothing-for an over-priced fake that really looked good. Still have it as a reference item. The trade the seller actually initially lost out on-I paid roughly $10 for about 30 Star Wars figures for his $70 TDB. I knew then if it is too good to be true? kind of thing, that it must be? but--I have scored several times in the past on things like that-so took my $10 chance on this one.

If you look around, you can get a complete good one for about $300 or so.
