I think this badge is cool, but suspect it to be a fantasy piece. Agree?

Agreed, fourth reich item.

Your right it's fake. The rear disc with the SS logo is fantasy rubbish, and would they really advertise the fact that they worked at an ultra top secret rocket facility by wearing this badge? No.

It seems a pity, but I do not think I can write more. R. SCOTT.

Forgetting the crummy/fake backing disc, I have to say it is a very
well designed badge, and if the disc were not there, perhaps it
would fool a few people.........

Fantasy it is !

There have been a few of these posted on the forum over time, a quick search should find them easily. The screwback disc with SS markings should always be treated with extreme suspicion too no matter what award or badge they're attached to.
Looking for LDO marked EK2s and items relating to U-406.....
I always have to wonder why on Earth the fakers place SS/RZM markings on alleged Luftwaffe or Heer items.
Hi Pablo, anytime you see that form of screwback, remember that it has been produced by a dirty little thief somewhere in Poland. A naughty person who would gladly sell his own grandmother, and probably advertise her as "Hitler's Cook For Sale!!!".

Carl
Looking at the pieces individually, and agreeing both parts are fake, is it possible the screw disc may have come from another item? The base metals look very different. Could this be a potential marriage of two fake pieces? I've normally seen the SS marked screw disc on combat awards. No way to know for sure of course but it is a possibility.
