Good shout guys. I would normally expect to see little notches on the reef but, I guess the corrosion levels have a part to play.

Glenn66. Great looking SA Sports Badge. And a low number too. Following is a request I have:
This is a needle-in-the-haystack request for a Gold SA Sports badge. If you have a numbered badge; the badge number I'm looking for is #1025. Long shot - you betcha. But stranger things have happened in our hobby. This particular badge was awarded to LtCol Wilhelm Walther of the Brandenbergers and I have his full dossier as well as his personal Army Dagger. Thanks
Wow, good luck buddy, you'll need it but like I say 'you never know until you ask'.
How did it end up that your were in a cellar in north Berlin?
fischer, perhaps a dumb question, but wondering how one tells the type of badge--yours has the bronze look, I think this is bronze but it looks dark grey--is it a zinc?
Si, yours is a zinc silver JB&Co unmarked. The hardware's made of buntmetal, this has a bronze-ish look to it. Stewy
Thanks Stewy! If I recalll recall reading correctly, the silver ones were presented to motorized troops?
