Rare L/53 marked Hymmen Kriegsabzeichen für Minesuch - Sicherungsverbände.
It's been a long time since I added to my collection of Minesweeper badges but this one arrived today, a rare marked L/53 Hymmen badge in tombak and in very good condition.
This maker made a badge with a very unique looking eagle, the head is very distinctive, it almost appears like it's looking in both directions at the same time.

It was very satisfying to find a rare maker and even more so to get one in such great condition!
Ironically I wouldn't have found it if it wasn't for Rory pointing out a fake on the dealer's site here - post #12 so thank you to him!
