it looks a pretty rough finish imo.
It is a silver grade medal issued by the Reichsnährstand Landesbauernschaft Westfalen for services to animal breeding (‘Für züchterische Leistungen’). The Reichsnährstand was unusual in that, in addition to its national awards, each region issued its own awards, which vary widely in their form and design.
I collect these sort of things so keep me in mind if you ever wish to part with this medal!

BTW It is always best to upload these photos using the war relics as images connected externally will often be lost, rendering this thread useless.
On second thoughts, it may not be a silver medal. The photos aren't that great but it looks like it may have lost most of its original finish, although a close inspection may perhaps show remains of it. There are patches of a sort of goldish hue in some of the photos.
