it's a good original badge,although i am not sure of what that red looking patina is on the boat ??

It is a zinc badge.All 2nd pattern Schwerin S-Boot badges where struck in zinc.

Thanks Martin, I am not going to buy it finally, not because I do not like it, just the opossite, but because of the price that I found out a few minutes ago, that is 650 Euros. I am sure that it s a fair price, not sure, but at this time it s too much for me, well at least it will be of good use for future reference in the Forum, Regards, Juan

Hello, this is currently for sale. Am I correct in assuming that this is a copy when I look at the open HK on the back and especially compare the waves on the front with the piece that was shown ??

Original zinc Schwerin 2nd pattern S-Boots can be found with both a cut-out and solid swastika.

The badge above,is a well known fake.The outlines, reverse hardware and maker mark are all incorrect.
