You did well David. And I would say it is more than a "slight" upgrade. Just a few more pieces to go to complete the collection and maybe a Narvik as well...LoL
"Please", Thank You" and proper manners appreciated

Hello Martin,
I had a look through this thread on GCA and could not find a match to the one posted here.

The eagle's head, the maker mark and a few other details seem to be different than any posted there.

Hi Ralph.
Seems I can't win with badges lately !
Thanks for your concern...will have this checked out (again). I did not see any problems, but I don't know a lot about these.

Looks O.K. to me, I see no obvious problems. As stated in the thread title, a type 1 U-boat.
Regards, Ned.

I've looked again and i still think it's an original Schwerin.
Possibly a type 2 shown in the link above ?
If it turns out to be a fake then it fooled me.
Cheers,Martin.

Having just looked at that, I agree probably a type 2 as there is a slight variance from type 1.

Hello David,
Sorry, not meaning to rain on your parade as I don't know much about these at all but, when I look at a reference posted by Norm and can't find similar, I just had to ask.
