Segelflugzeugführerabzeichen?

Article about: I have been offered this glider badge, but believe it to be a cast fake. The filled in swastika and back detail look pretty poor. The pin set up also looks poor. Any thoughts please?

Hi All, Some time back I was offered one of these badge and from memory, it looked a bit like the second badge but had a ball type hinge. Would a ball hinge be a good or bad sign please??
    Cheers Michael Ryan.

    Hi Mike,

There is a genuine ball hinge Glider Pilot badge that's unmarked, but obviously comes from the Gablonz region. But as usual the design has been copied by the fakers, I recently saw one stamped 'C.E. Juncker Berlin 68' for sale on a dealer website.

    Regards, Ned.

Thanks Ned. Price is $169 - is it worth the risk?
The price says it all. These would have sold at that level 30 years ago.
