Re: Selection of TR badges and awards, opinions needed.
The only ones I like are Nos. 1, 2, 9 and 11.
Looking for LDO marked EK2s and items relating to U-406.....

Re: Selection of TR badges and awards, opinions needed.
I think the 'Westwall Medal' ( 1 ) may be the only good one in the
whole group. These are very common - but this one is not
all that great - I'd pass, unless it were $10 or $15.
If the 'NSDAP 1938' tinnie ( 8 ) is genuine, it has a replaced pin.
Tinnies are relatively inexpensive, so repaired it is
not worth much, IMO.........
Check out the bad impression of the date on the front of #11.

That is the worst lot that i ever saw.The SS medals are the crudest repros that i have ever seen!!Walk away and dont look back. What a bunch of junk.If you are going to collect medals then i suggest you look at some of the threads on this forum. Also buy a book on medals and check what to look for in originals and go to some shows.Otherwise you will get stuck with garbage like these items.Carl

Hi Glen, as stated these are almost all junk, walk away.
As Carl suggests, buy some good reference books.
No.10 is a fantasy cloth patch made in the 70's. The Warsaw shield was designed (in metal) but never awarded.
No.12 is not Civil War: just read the back of the medal, it is really self explanatory even to a non Spanish speaker. I have shown my original on the forum. Awarded to members of the Spanish "Blue Division" for service in Russia.
Cheers, Ade.

Not a keeper in the lot. All crude and poorly made, in my opinion. Not worth spending a nickel on. Pass..... William
