Hi USSR, 2 things I notice with your award which may not be a problem but I don't know enough about these badges to make a call but here they are:
- The wreath and center enamel work aren't lined up vertically on the badge
- I don't see the 2 rivet heads on the reverse by which the obverse wreath section is attached
How is the wreath section attached on your example? Perhaps some makers simply glued the outer wreath on but like I say, I don't know enough about these awards which is why this thread was created in the first place. Other than that, your example is a good looking piece in remarkable condition.
Thanks Glenn66,
I dont won the badge but it is offerde for sale to me for a reasonable price. I collect Soviet militaria so I dont know anything about these but if it is real, I would like to buy it and offer for exchange for Soviet orders, medals or badges.
You know, I have never seen any of the lower 2 rows for sale, they must be very rare?
Neither have I. I didn't even know the Lapplandfront and Eismeerfront crosses existed until I searched Wehrmacht-Awards.com.
Hello.
I find this from finnish auction:
POHJOISRINTAMA - DIE NORDFRONT 1941-43 MERKKI - avoin - 249.99 € - Mitalit ja kunniamerkit - Rahat ja mitalit - Keräily - Huuto.net
My friend have a looklike but year is 1941-1942 and the text in fastening screw is "Hopeateos oy H:ki"
The white enamel examples are more
common than the black. I think 250 euro is getting quite expensive for a white one.
