Re: Some german WWI and WWII items
Hello fpicoli,
The 1914 EK1 is bad, and while I do not know a whole lot about any of the other items,
I'm sorry to say, I would not hold out much hope for any of them either.
But let's hear some other opinions..... I have been wrong before.

Hello fpicoli,

I agree, I also do not like the "Spanish" or more correctly, the First Pattern VWA. It appears to be a casting, although a good quality casting. The hardware on this one is often found on fake badges, especially that style of hinge. Additionally, it appears to have been artificially aged with am acid solution.

Yes,
I've noticed that the union between the eagles wings and the cross is strange. Maybe it was welded.
What about the wounded badge?
That type can be hollow back, or thats just another mistake from the counterfeiters?

It was the wound badge (VWA) that Steven was referring to.
But the Spanish crosses are bad also.

Re: Some german WWI and WWII items
My first impression was that they were all bad. Easy to say now that others have spoken! I'm by no means a authority on the subject but these reminded me a lot of some of the better quality fakes listed on Gun Broker. com. Is that where you found them? They all have just the right amount of dirt and a similar finish on the back. Probably all from the same fake manufacture.

Re: Some german WWI and WWII items
No,
I've found them on a online shop.
I noticed that the seller has some bad fakes there...
so, i though: if the seller have those bad items that even i could identify, maybe these ones i showed you are bad too.
Thanks.
