    Default Sports badge HELP PLEASE

    Hello
Is this ok or a fake....
I have been looking for info regarding this badge, I understand it could be a type 1?? but have not found any pictures of the rear to try to match this one.

On the rear It has EIGENTUM D. CHEFS D. AUSBILDUNGSWESENS and the serial number on the side.
The badge looks to be cast not die struck??? is that normal?

Any help would be great... and sorry for the bad photo's
    Cheers from NZ

Looks fine to me. Second pattern, as the first pattern badges were numbered to the side I believe.

The badge has a serial number. Salty, but original.

Hey thanks, so would the serial number make it a first pattern??.

No. If I remember right, the positioning of the serial number is a difference, as I have already stated. Yours is positioned at 90 degrees from the pin (second pattern). The first pattern badges were numbered at roughly a 45 degree angle to the pin. The serial numbers are also in a lower range, obviously.
The third pattern did not have serial numbers at all.

Remember though, the presence of a serial number does not always guarentee authenticity.

Hey thanks for your help. Picked up for 14 pounds your money, so not to worried, was just keen to find out the story behind them as I mainly collect early NZ stuff.
    Thanks again.
