Hello all,

I bought a 25 Year SS service medal at an auction the other day, and just thought it was too good to be true. Would someone be able to tell me if its original and if so the value of the piece. Did not have ribbon however.

if I'm wrong, but I believe it's a fake.

Agreed I think it's a fake also, lacking details. Hope you didn't pay to much

It does look similar to the fake, however the ribbon ring is different, in that one you linked me it is round and my one is oval.

What makes it look fake? Nah I paid around $90 usd

Tough luck friend.. Walkwolf and others are a great reference and many a saddend members have been there and done that.. Welcome to the forum.. Auctions can be frenzied and time is the lacking factor, However.. Time allows before the auction gavel strikes.. I suggest you post "Before" placing a bid on a item.. Just my two cents.. Again.. The swastika is off center on the flan, for one.
I don't suppose they were intentionally made
that way - as in a 3 dimensional effect.........

Bugger, I had a feeling it was just too good to be true. Any idea what an original one would look like? Are their any features that are important? Quite annoyed at the auction house if it is indeed a fake as they said it was original
