Looks OK to me. Just worn.

Looks good to me too. Not sure what's going on with the ribbon mount though. Surely the hook and medal loop should be hidden beneath the ribbon but I can't see where it would tuck in?
Looking for LDO marked EK2s and items relating to U-406.....
Hello there,
A tough one. At first glance I like it. I would like to see the hinge setup on the reverse hardware. While it is most likely authentic (and it would be easy to swap a medal on/off the bar fake or original) it does not have a traditional mounting pin on the reverse.

I understood these medals were made by 2 makers. Anyone knows which maker this medal maded?

I would guess at this one being a Petz & Lorenz.

Apologies, I was getting my features and makers the wrong way round.
The medal above I believe to be made by DESCHLER not Petz & Lorenz. There were only the two makers.
Deschler crosses have finer stippling compared to P&L and different suspension rings. You will note the medal above has a suspension ring that is tapered to a point as you look at it, there is a clear ridge extending around the circumference of the ring /\ like so. This is a feature of a Deschler made medal. P&L rings are not as squat and don't have the distinct bevelled point. The stippling is also coarser.

Which are the differences between the 2 makers, Deschler and Petz und Lorenz?
