I've never seen any fakes of this decoration.
It is original as mentioned before Casey with a replaced ribbon

Fakes are out there. The Rudolf Souval firm of Vienna, Austria, made fakes of this Cross postwar ( also of the gold version & the 50-year version). They are easy to tell because the edges are unfinished, & the edges have many uneven ugly sawmarks. The jump-rings were marked L/58. In my old 1971 Souval Sales Listing, the Silver one is listed as their item #9/30.
