Nice medal. I have both the 25 u. 50 year cased.
Yes, the 50 year medal is silver with a gilt wreath. Plus "50" on it of course.

Also, do allow me to remark that only the 25 & 40 year crosses were for the public sector / civil service, whereas the 50 year cross was for 50 years of employment with a single private sector employer.
