Can anyone give me any good or bad news on my 50 year civil service award?

I've compared originals I found online with the one in your post and I think it is a good one. But my opinion is based on photographs, as I don't have one in my collection.

Allow me to remark that this was not a "civil service award". The 25 and 40 year crosses were for civil service personnel; the 50 year cross was awarded for 50 years of working for the same employer in the private sector.

(That's also why the words on the reverse are different: The 25/40 year awards were for loyal services ["Dienste"], the 50 year award was for loyal work ["Arbeit"].)

It looks like a good one to me.
I wouldn't have a problem adding that choice little piece to my collection.
