U-boat clasp (frontspange) real of fake?
This item is being offered to me for sale. It does not have the normal flat pin on the back and there is no lettering typical of the Schwerin examples. The back has no markings at all. The detailing on the front is very good and it has good patina but I don't think anybody other than Schwerin made this and they all had the flat pin and typical markings. Real or fake? Any help appreciated.
I didn't take the pictures and they are the best I have.

Re: U-boat clasp (frontspange) real of fake?
I realize the pictures aren't great but I've read elsewhere that only Schwerin made these badges and that they all had one of two variants of a flat pin and they all had the same markings on the back. If that is true, then by definition this is a fake item. Does anybody know if there are legitimate versions of these badges with no markings and a round pin?

Hi, and welcome to the forum!
Sorry, not an original example. You have already id it's shortcomings.
Cheers, Ade.
