Hi , the Adler's head looks poor to me but maybe it is just the angle of the picture. I would add that for a Scherwin badge ,the quality does seem a bit lacking but again , maybe it is just the effect from the "flash". Leon.

It's a definate fake.

The maker mark is incorrect,as is the reverse hardware.

It is supposed to be tombak example but features a circular catch plate that is found on zinc awards.

Could be a Staegemeir fake but i haven't looked at his site lately.

Definately not an original Schwerin IMO.

Private seller near me. He bought it from "go antiques" who ever they are... Why have you seen it before?

I was just trying to determine if Staegemeir was the possible maker ?

His website is inaccessible right now "due to maintenance".
