Not a German military badge.

Re: Unusual wartime badge for id please.
Looks to be from an item of Victorian furniture, maybe a wine casket or a sideboard or similar.

Re: Unusual wartime badge for id please.
As said, not German and I have doubts about it being military too. Jerry might be onto a winner, my first thought was decor rather than anything else.
Looking for LDO marked EK2s and items relating to U-406.....

Re: Unusual wartime badge for id please.
Almost certainly a furniture adornment....definitely not military of any age or country.

Re: Unusual wartime badge for id please.
I have had just had a thought. I presume where the camp was, was previously/post farm land. So item could have come from another period entirely. Back to the furniture design. We need the bumper book of furniture bits.

Re: Unusual wartime badge for id please.
My vote, (if there is one), would go to Victorian furniture hardware.
