Never seen that one before, but look forward to hearing what it is.
Looks like a fantasy watch fob commemorating the Vikings Russian campaign....

I agree!

I've never seen one before either but tend to agree with William and Kris, I don't believe any such official award existed.
The suspension loop is also unlike anything seen on known awards.
Any chance of a photo of the back for curiosity please?
Looking for LDO marked EK2s and items relating to U-406.....
Here is the back,
This is supposed to be a Russlands-Feldzugs-Medaille
1.SS A.R.5 SS Division Wiking "Fur Eure Treue und Euern Einsatz im Osten"
But I have not seen an original so I am not sure.
Here is a companion piece for the exact same unit...it may even be genuine, but the piece you posted is almost certainly not...

Has anyone seen an original? Or is it just a not so well known fantasy item? As we all know such items were produced from 1945-46 and today it is almost impossible to say what is original and what is not.
Thank you for posting the reverse.
I personally don't think it's an original piece. I'm sure the words on the back could've been put on straight instead of an angle and the overall quality gives the impression of a cheaply struck pot metal piece. I also don't understand the speech marks on each side of 'Wiking'.

Thanks all for steering me clear of this piece. It is interesting to note the "speech marks" as you call them are also on fake Wiking dog tags and used in the same way. I wonder if the maker on this is using the same reference material this faker on the dog tags used?
