Probably the difference in the manufactures molds.

#3 would be a Deumer and not all were marked I like them.

Both medals are good originals. Not sure if the marked award is a Deumer though, this isn't what I would expect to see a Deumer mark looking like. It could possibly be an '8' - Ferdinand Hoffstadter Bonn a. Rhein. This was a producer of the Ostmedaille and marked packets for this maker are known - unfortunately, marked medals aren't.
