Any makers makers number mark on the ring?

These were made by a great many different makers. Also the silver finish to the helmet and rim can be found on some of the earlier issues only. A rough collectors guide would be:

Type 1 = Buntmetall with quality finish

Type 2 = Zinc with quality finish

Type 3 = Zinc with nonexistent finish

nah unfortunately theres no maker mark on the ring & im also going to go for one of the ones with a silver finished edge & helmet as well when i can

Nothing wrong with that one Nick. Think i've got a silver edged one,as medals go these are a top design IMO. Stewy S

good one nick, i remember buying my first one at 10 quid, only 5yr ago. and an ek2{not yours} for 38 quid. it has a better silver finish than the hi-fi

right nuff with the stereo bashing & yes know Phil will come back with a stereo bashing quip of some kind

Hi Nick, here is mine which is made by "3". (Wilhelm Deumer, Ludenscheid)

I bought this one for a fiver, but it was about 30 years ago.
