They have been faked like all Third Reich decorations but not (as far as I know) on a huge scale. The example in the opening post is a good one IMO.

No, the medal in post #1 is an original.

Article about: I was at an antique store here in poland today and am wondering if this medal is original with ribbon. Also the dealer wanted about \\$65 dollars if you convert that to the current us dollar.
