    Hello all!

Firstly, thanks for all of this input and discussion! It's really helpful to me and I'm sure it will be helpful to others in the future!

William (Wagriff), I believe what you mention may just be the way the shadow has cast itself within the suspension loop.. Here are some closeups of that area:

Rob (Militiaman), Here are the dimensions of the medal (Through use of a digital micrometer):

    Diameter: 35.59mm
    Thickness of 1st rim: 1.59mm
    Thickness of 2nd ridge: 2.48mm
    Weight: 19g

Glenn (Glenn66), Thanks for the closeup of your medal, from the limited view it looks a beauty I'm glad you're opinion of this one has changed and that the slight seam appears on yours as well..

Any more input into this topic is welcomed!

Thanks Joshua, yes my Edwards and Sons example is in pretty much mint condition. These zinc awards are tricky to get in top condition but as I say, with about 3 million or so floating around somewhere, it's not so difficult to get one as long as you are a little patient.

Glenn, that is nice! Lovely finish one it and a nice clean strike..

So what are your thoughts on these little 'seams' that appear on our medals? Mine certainly doesn't look like casting remnants, as it only occurs in one spot and as I said, nowhere else on the medal is affected by this seam..

    Thanks for sharing yours!

    Joshua
