Hi, Jaredb12, Welcome to the forum............................!

You have an extremely nice selection of medals and insignia from Germany, France
    and the USA.

There are so many that I will only make comment on the two 'SS' medals - These are
quite valuable if proven to be genuine, and even though the photos are not the
greatest, I cannot see why they would be fakes if they have always been
together with the rest as 'bring back' items. I think everything looks
good but better individual photos of these two will help
    to clarify this............

    You have:

    US Combat Infantry Badge (CIB),
    US 'Presidential Unit Citation' ribbon,
    US 'Expert Rifleman' Marksmanship badge,
US 'Good Conduct' Medal lapel device,
    2 'US' Enlisted lapel insignia,
WWII German 'Political Leader' belt buckle,
2 WWII German Infantry assault badges,
    WWII German 'Panzerkampf abzeichen' badge,
2 WWII German Wound Badges ('silver' and 'black' grades ),
    WWI Bavarian Long Service Medal,
WWII German War Merit Cross, II Class with swords,
WWII German Army Four Year Service Medal,
WWII German SS Four Year Service Medal,
WWI French 'Croix de Guerre' Medal,
WWII German 'Prague Castle' medal ribbon device,
WWII German 'WHW' - 'Winterhilfswerk' tinnie/pin,
    WWII German ribbon bar,
    Unidentified chain/bracelet of coins/tokens,
    Unidentified German tinnie/pin,
WWII German Luftwaffe (Airforce) rank insignia or 'pip',

And a beautiful WWII German four-medal bar that includes the
1939 Iron cross II Class, and SS Four Year Service Medal.

    I believe there is somewhere between $2,000 - $3,000
worth shown here, if all are proved genuine.

A truly wonderful group of family heirlooms..........!

Thanks i appreciate the help, and i can probably get better pictures of those two other medals once i get back home. And they were in the same bag that the rest were in. Any idea on values of any of them.. sorry i didnt see the bottom part of your reply, thats incredible though.. any idea of how my pap would have gotten these

These were torn from uniforms, traded for cigarettes, found in bivouacked homes,
won in card games, sent home to relatives and siblings, etc. etc.

No way to know how he aquired everything unless he wrote it down somewhere !

The men and women who fought and served in WWII are Heroes, and I hope
your family will treasure these mementoes for generations.

    Steve.

Hello Jared and welcome to the forum. Very sorry to hear of your loss. We can certainly help you out here with the German items and the guys in the other sub forums will be able to help with the U.S. pieces.

At first glance your items all appear to be good, nothing jumps out as being wrong so far. When you're able it would be helpful to post good, clear shots of each item front and back. I would suggest a seperate thread for the different items to get the most help and discussion. Post the medals in one thread, the wound badges in another, combat badges in another etc.

The Eisernes kreuz on the medal bar looks like a Schinkel which is a desireable variant and therefore more valuable. Look forward to seeing more pics!

Looking for LDO marked EK2s and items relating to U-406.....

Thanks adrian i appreciate the welcome, yeah my dad and i are pretty much overwhelmed with stuff we have been finding in the attic of their house. We know he was in the navy then went into the marines but besides that we havent a clue. Ill try to post the items seperately, its just still pretty hard to seperate whats what.
