"In all my years as a soldier, I have never seen men fight so hard." - SS Obergruppenfuhrer Wilhelm Bittrich - Arnhem
Hi
I agree with you there Nick. The guy must have been outstandingly brave.
Thanks for showing.

This is by far my favorite medal. Meet a man at a bar who served in WWII and he was so happy someone "young" cared about his story, which was an amazing story, he decided to give it to me. He passed on Jun. 13, 2012 at 6:15PM sadly. I only knew him for a couple of weeks and yet he still wanted me to have this....never will sale it. R.I.P Joe Lennon, thank you for your service.

Simple, elegant but with so much turmoil, suffering and human emotion behind it.
One of my Favorite items .. a signal flag from the German light cruiser "Leipzig"
Attached is a picture---- 15 October 1944 was accidentally rammed amidships by the heavy cruiser Prinz Eugen in heavy fog. Later surrendered to British troops.
I have not yet mounted and framed this.. but I will.
traded an EK for this one
