I think you are correct.
Hi , the detailing on the superstructure looks very poor to me , the gun turrets are especially bad , the bow waves are also very soft. I do not know who made this but I think you are right in assuming it's a fake. Leon.

I'm personally liking this badge, but the catch plate is of a variant i'm not familiar with, and if the other guys aren't happy, well.....It could be a cast fake.
Best to wait for Martin or Norm to take a look before you write it off.

I also mentioned that if it is a Staegemeir fake then it is one of the better ones i have seen.
Norm did his usual detective work and the information he posted deemed this badge to be a fake,and a very clever one at that.
It fooled me at first and it just keeps us on our toes,so to speak.
