Price of a type 1 or 2 (soldered ring or U) "For the Capture of Berlin" is not excessive and more desirable for a collection IMO .

Alternatively this Voenkomat is original .

Yes, I do... Those rarity ratings were made well over a decade ago and are not realistic anymore. I'm not saying the third variation is rare, but it's much scarcer than the first two variations.

i would have to agree with you. you can see this for yourself just by searching on Google and eBay. there are plenty of type 1s and type 2s, but Voenkomats are seldom seen. this also seems to be true for many other Soviet medals, i believe.
