    Very nice. I also picked up one of those at the SOS military show in February.

    I think the blue stain at rear ribbon was made by pen ink. May be a soviet veteran with a Parker pen.

    I like the medal itself but am not too keen on the suspension. Regardless, it's a nice Leningrad.

    I'm beginning now with soviet medals and for my better education about this subject, please tell me what do You don't like so much at this suspension.

    It was suggested on another forum that the medal and suspension are "mismatched", i.e. with an earlier suspension, a common occurrence. . .

    For example, a Combat Service Medal numbered 365745 which should be mounted on an older suspension, instead it has a replaced more "modern", relatively speaking, 5-sided suspension.

    One of the things you can check is to see if the ring between the medal and suspension is "unbroken", which is obviously not the case with this Combat Service Medal. Note the wear on the ring on the top portion of the medal.
