I would say that yes, your Guard's Badge is WWII vintage as the flag lacks the tell-tale post-war tassles to the bottom of the flag.
Yes, it's a WW2 type.

Note the fringed tassles to the bottom of the flag and how the flag is more curved in shape.

Thanks Ade I was pretty sure it was. Not that I mind, I paid less than $5 for it.
That was a good price. It still has some age to it and will most likely date from the 1950's.
