Article about: I was thinking this one might be good until I saw the back, and then saw a repro that looked similar. The disc for the back looks almost like a flat washer, but this is the only pic the sell

    I was thinking this one might be good until I saw the back, and then saw a repro that looked similar. The disc for the back looks almost like a flat washer, but this is the only pic the seller had. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated, thank you for your time.

    Hi Paul,

    The front looks great... the bottom border of the flag does not have fringe, which is indicative of World War II vintage guards badges.

    Thanks guys, I appreciate the help. I avoid the newer ones Joe, but I saw a picture of a repro that looked just like the ww2 style, no fringe on the flag, and the backing looked somewhat like this one. even though it was new and shiny, I found a post-ww2 badge that had been aged to look as old as a war time badge. I know they're out there, but I hadn't seen many of those yet. Now it's "come on payday" lol
