Hi Richie, it is the same badge. Note the little chips to the enamel on the star

Hi Dimas, nice quality workmanship. Do these sell for more than a regular Guards badge?

    Cheers, Ade.

I have one of these and cherish it's workmanship. I have not seen one for sale in quite a while, but I remember paying about $150.00 for it four or so years ago.

I think now they are about 300 eur each, but it's nearly hard to find. If someone wants Thomas in Ostfront - German and Russian WWII militaria still has it if I'am not wrong

Wow, I didn't know those were that rare. Were they made during the late 40's and 50's?

    Intriguing question...

    Dim?

I wonder in what year did the factory name change?

I vaguely recall another forum's theme concerning an example of this particular variation of Guards badge with the original screwplate marked Roman Tavast

    I'll try and find it...

I think end of 44 and later, early variations seen with Roman Tavast screwbacks
