Guards Lieutenant of the Medical Service Stepanenko, a medic in the brigade’s Independent Medical Platoon, organized the supplying of the necessary means to treat wounded soldiers, care for them, and feed them, and took care of the wounded and ill, which contributed to the wounded soldiers and officers quickly returning to their unit.

He deserves to be awarded the Medal for Combat Merit.
