Tbh, I think it could be real. This is because of the fact that 12,777 people received the award. But, on the other hand, i'm not an expert.

I think i speak for majority, when i say, need better quality picture (front, back and by the connecting ring) to determine if this is an authentic piece.

based on what you have, i have doubts about the serial, it seems to be a very thick numbering compared to other examples:
??? ??????. ???? ?????????? ??????????????.
How much is he selling it for and which auction is this from? (the reason i ask, these may be signs of a fake)
-
the price are reasonable
and it from Alderfer Auction in philly

Hello RobloxHelmets,
Have you handled many of these awards?
Take care,

I agree with Kmoney10, for good opinions one needs to post good photos. Especially with such high end items. There's many fakes around and it all comes down to detail. And with these pics provided one can only make educated guesses on originality.
Based on what I see here I notice the hole in the suspension where the connecting rings goes through is different than what I've seen on known originals. A variation? I have no idea. Better pics needed as said.

I am sorry to say but that is quite a dumb answer. Because many people got the award can never be a reason that something is original

It has a chance of being real, but you need better photos. Especially for a professional and trusted military auction, they should have the best photos possible. Although this probably won’t help, the medal itself looks very shiny compared to the ones I’ve seen in person at the Moscow Patriotic War Museum. Just a thought.
