You are all most welcome. Ideally, I look for a badge and document set, especially double issued badges/documents, but these are hard to find. I have only seen three or four.
In the absence of one or the other, badge &/or document, I will usually make an exception. Condition is important, correct screw plate, condition of enamel, and document(s), among other variables.
I think what these badges represent, and what it took to be awarded this badge is overlooked and underappreciated, but that is just my opinion. The railroads played a very important role in the history of the Soviet Union.
I am currently updating a listing of awards and issue dates from existing records and other collectors, yet another on-going seemingly never-ending work in progress.
Early badges, #5270, as pictured above were sterling silver. Later examples, also pictured above, were brass or nickel chrome plated brass.
