Latest Russian additions

Article about: Silver is first class, brass is second class. Wikipedia is, once more, incorrect...

Thanks Joe. Not that knowledgeable on the Russian stuff yet, hopefully some one with the info can put this little problem to rest for the two of us.

I believe that the officially issued ribbons were light green, but many ribbons we see are more ochre-colored due to discoloration. It also seems that new ribbons (i.e. stock that is manufactured nowadays, like the one in post #7) are greener than they were back in 1942 (the material is also different). And on those plastic ribbons we often see that the colors are a bit "exaggerated".

Here's one of mine, where you can see that the reverse is green and the obverse discolored:

    Thanks Darren.
For me it was more the enameled orders that attracted my eye. After that I thought to expand with only WW2 related items.

Thanks Dave. Another great example. Can clearly see the green tint, thanks for showing.

Okay, seems the Maternity Medal is in fact a 2nd class one, 1st class would be silver. Wikipedia has it as 1st class, but various other sites say 2nd.
